I think this might be a very fun quest. This week take some self portrait photos and submit your best three photos.
Instructions, photos can be or any part of you (remember this is a G rated group) doing anything you like. You can even have two or three or more of you in a photo. Here are some fun instructions for accomplishing that very thing http://www.muddyboots.org/creatingatwin.
Photos can be in black and white, color or sepia or anything thing you want to try with color or non-color. If you don't have a tripod you can set you camera on a shelf, a table or a chair. You might have to get out your camera's manual to find how to set a delay so you can get seated for your self portrait.
If you have a remote shutter control that is even better. Here are some instructions on self portraits http://www.ehow.com/how_2145984_take-self-portrait.html and http://photodoto.com/im-ready-for-my-closeup-6-methods-for-perfectly-focused-self-portraits/. Then here are some great ideas for a self portrait http://www.betterphoto.com/gallery/dynoGall2.asp?catID=441
Try different backgrounds, different lighting...inside and outside photos...then there is always fun with photoshop, elements etc. Maybe even frame your photo. And remember have some fun with this!
Unbelievable participation this week...we had ten entries. Funny when I've actually given out real prizes I haven't got this many entries! You are making my job hard...but I love it!
The quest this week was to take photos of water. And water photos we got!
